Greater Boston Soaring Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping its members learn and enjoy the sport of Soaring. GBSC has over 170 members, mostly from central New England. The club owns three tow planes and eight gliders, ranging in performance from robust trainers to speedy cross-country ships.

The Club operates primarily on weekends and most holidays, April 1 through November 30 from 10:00 AM to late afternoon/early evening, depending on the weather. The club's current base of operations is Sterling Airport (see below). Depending on weather and member interest, secondary operation occurs on weekdays and through the winter.
